Create an anonymous coupon

Learn how to create and distribute coupons for your promotions

One of the simplest strategies to attract customers is to run large promotions for specific products, supported by extensive advertising or email marketing. This is why anonymous coupons were created—to help brands effectively develop coupon-based campaigns by linking unique codes to specific wallet coupon installations. By using your customers' digital wallets to store these coupons, you can understand the real-time impact of your campaigns. You can track customer coupon installations, which helps you determine their genuine intent to use them and assess their effectiveness.

Let's revise step-by-step how to create an anonymous coupon campaign.

Anonymous coupon design

Campaign creation

To create an anonymous coupon, you must first create a coupon in our coupon section. You can follow our guide for assistance.
To start the anonymous coupon campaign, go to "Campaigns > Anonymous Coupons" and click the "Create Campaign" button in the top right corner.

Now you can see two cards. On the left is a simulation of how the coupon will appear in customer wallets, and on the right is the configuration for this coupon, lets revise the left card and the meaning of each field.

Basic configuration

This is the first section of the creation process. Here, you can enter the name of your campaign. Based on that name, we will automatically generate a unique slug for you. You cannot have two slugs with the same name in your JeriCommerce campaigns, so don’t worry; we will create one for you.
The second field is the description of your coupon, which will be displayed on the front of your wallet coupon.

Code on Wallet

This section allows you to select one of the previously created coupons by its name from the dropdown menu. The second configuration in this section is the toggle for the public claimable campaign.
The second configuration is the public claimability of the coupon. Let's review what this means and the typical use case for each scenario.

Public Active:
Any customer with the URL can claim a new unique code and download the wallet coupon without needing a unique code in the URL.
This is the typical case for promotions on public signage or advertisements in media.
Adding a QR code there and enable to the customers to download a unique code.

Public Inactive: If the URL is inactive, it must end with a valid unique code from this campaign to enable downloading. If the URL lacks a valid unique code, an error will be displayed.
This scenario is common in email promotions designed to distribute coupons to specific customers. For these campaigns, use the "export codes" functionality to distribute the codes effectively.
Follow our guide to gain a deeper understanding of how this functionality works.

This section cannot be changed after the first wallet coupon is installed, so please proceed with caution.

Colors and Banner

This section only refers to the appearance of the coupon wallet. By default, it will look very similar to the standard wallet pass.
You can change the colors and banner image as you wish, as long as you respect the format and type of the images.
This configuration can be changed after the coupon is created and distributed.
