How location-Based Notifications works

Understand and learn how these lock-screen notifications could be used

Location-based notifications are a curious and unique feature of Apple Wallet, yes, you heard right, they only work on Apple devices.
These types of notifications aren't your usual notifications; they can't make any sounds or vibrations on the device.
Their power lies in appearing on the client's lock screen, making it easier to access the wallet when near the locations defined in the geotargeting campaigns.

On our platform, you can create as many locations as you want, adding the text you want to appear when someone is nearby, showing up when the customer is about 70-80 meters away from the defined location if the "Precise Location" is activated on the device.
These locations can be grouped into different campaigns targeting the customers you want to reach.

FAQ

Why the location notification doesn't work?

Could be a couple of things, let revise the different points to revise:
1 - The wallet pass has activated the "Automatic Updates" feature. This can be enabled or disabled from the wallet's settings, located at the top of the pass
2 - At the same location as the first step, you'll find another option called "Suggest on Lock Screen." This option should be enabled
3 - The location notification needs access to the device's location. You can enable this in 'Preferences > Location Services > Wallet'

Preferences > Location services > Wallet
What happens if the customer doesn't have internet access?

For location-based notifications, it doesn't matter if the campaign is already on the device.
When the wallet has the location-based campaign active, it will always display these types of notifications based on location, without any need for an internet connection.
